Tottenham Hotspur transfer round-up: Sunderland planning Dembele swoop

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Sunderland are ‘plotting’ a move to sign Mousa Dembele from Tottenham.

The Black Cats are thought to be interested in the Belgian, who featured for the club in their defeat against Manchester United last weekend.

The paper claims that he’s still firmly in the plans of manager Mauricio Pochettino, which makes any deal difficult.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has been quoted by the Daily Express thanking Daniel Levy for his interest in striker Clinton Njie.

The paper reports that Tottenham are on the verge of a £12 million deal for the player, as they look to bolster their attacking ranks by the end of the month.

Aulas has confirmed that Tottenham’s interest is authentic and that a deal for the player is imminent.

“Tottenham absolutely want Njie, we are close to an agreement. Thank you Daniel Levy for making a consistent offer,” he said.

The Metro has reported that Tottenham have reached an agreement with Rangers over season long loan deals for two players.

Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball are the midfielders in question, as they look to enhance their experience playing for Mark Warburton’s team.
