Ronny Deila comments on Celtic’s interest in Scott Allan

Both Celtic and Rangers have been linked with making a move to sign Scott Allan.

Allan was linked with Celtic today, as per Sky Sports, and Ronny Deila has discussed the transfer speculation in a press conference.

Whilst refusing to accept whether a deal for Allan is on the cards, Deila certainly did not rule out a move for the Hibs midfielder - who is also wanted by Rangers.

The same Sky report references the Gers’ interest in Allan, with Mark Warburton’s men already seeing three bids rejected by Hibs for the star.

Allan, 23, was named Championship player of the season last year, and looks to have all the talents needed to impress at the top level of the game. Although the Bhoys do not directly need him due to the other stars in their squad, he certainly fulfils the role of Scottish talent that Celtic want to purchase.

He may have only played one full season of competitive football in the second tier, but Celtic have been linked with him, and Deila has admitted that his club are looking all over the world to bring in players to improve the squad.

Whether one of these players in Allan remains to be seen, but with Deila refusing to rule out a deal, and the recent links in the media, it certainly appears as if the Scottish giant want to bring in the talented midfielder before the window closes at the end of this month.
