According to the Daily Mail, Barcelona wonderkid Adama Traore is moving ever closer to a shock move to Aston Villa having completed a medical with the club.
Traore, 19, has come up through the famed La Masia academy, which has produced the likes of Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets.
Whilst some of the less successful graduates - such as Bojan Krkic and Gerard Deulofeu - have now made their moves over to the Premier League, Adama Traore had been considered as one of the next big things for the Catalan giants.
Now though, the teenager - who spent last season with the Barcelona 'B' team - is now poised for a big move to England, with the Daily Mail reporting that Traore has now passed a medical ahead of a move to Aston Villa.
Tim Sherwood has been active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in the likes of Jordan Amavi, Micah Richards, Jordan Veretout, Jordan Ayew and Rudy Gestede, but Traore may be the most exciting arrival yet considering his reputation in Spain.
The report states that Sherwood actually wanted to sign Traore during his time as manager of Premier League rivals Tottenham, but 18 months on he is finally set to land his man in an alleged £12m deal.
Traore not only possesses blistering pace, but also superb strength to breeze past full backs - attributes that will make him very popular at Villa Park once he completed his proposed move to to the Midlands.
