Liverpool transfer round-up: Lucas tempted by Milan move, Sunderland target Borini

All the latest summer transfer news from Anfield...

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is tempted to leave Anfield in order to join AC Milan this summer.

The Brazilian midfielder, who joined from Gremio in 2007, and with 275 appearances for the Liverpool first team, he has certainly been a regular in the Reds first team.

Now 28, Lucas may look to leave Anfield in order to play on a more regular basis given that he's little more than a backup option for Liverpool right now.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport suggest that AC Milan are bidding to bring Lucas to Serie A, with the report stating that the player is 'tempted' to leave Merseyside in order to join Milan.

Elsewhere, the Liverpool Echo report that forward Fabio Borini is still set to leave the club, but a move to Italy may not be on the cards for him.

Instead, it's reported that Sunderland - who took Borini on loan for the duration of the 2013/14 season - are now looking to re-sign him on loan again.

The 24-year-old may have been Brendan Rodgers' first signing at Liverpool in 2012, but he has barely made an impact at Anfield, with a parting of the ways certainly best for all parties involved.
