Burnley are closing in on the signing of Rouwen Hennings
HITC Sport understands Burnley are closing in on the signing of German striker Rouwen Hennings.
Burnley are poised to sign Karlsruhe striker Rouwen Hennings after the player flew to England for talks and a medical.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is looking to add to his strikeforce before the close of the transfer window having lost Danny Ings to Liverpool and Ashley Barnes to long-term injury.
Dyche has brought in Jelle Vossen to add to his attacking options and he is hopeful of tying up a deal for Hennings.
Hennings was a target for Sheffield Wednesday earlier this summer and they had a £2.5million rejected by Karlsruhe last month.
Burnley have agreed a fee in the region of £3million for Hennings and Karlsruhe gave the player permission to hold talks with Burnley.
Hennings finished as top scorer in Bundesliga 2 last season with 18 goals in 29 games and Dyche will hope he will be the man to fire Burnley back to the Premier League this season.
