West Ham United media round-up: Midfielder rejects chance to sign

A selection of the latest news concerning West Ham United.

Gokhan Inler has turned down the chance to sign with West Ham, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Swiss international was wanted by the Hammers, as well as Premier League rivals Leicester and Bundesliga club Schalke, but he has opted against a move to the Boleyn Ground.

He will instead decide between the two remaining clubs who have approached him, with a decision to be made in the coming days.

Whilst that is one transfer off the cards, Slaven Bilic’s men have been linked with another player.

QPR goalkeeper Rob Green is a reported transfer target, according to the Daily Mail, as the East London club look to bring their former stopper back to the club.

He has just one year left on his contract, and although the R’s do not want to lose the stopper, West Ham have already been in contact with Green.

He is said to be keen on leaving Loftus Road, although the Hammers can not offer him first-team football due to the impressive form of Spanish star Adrian.

Finally, Slaven Bilic has outcast one current Hammers player from his playing squad, with the Mail claiming that Morgan Amalfitano has been banned from the training ground.

The midfielder missed a team meeting, after which he was banished from the senior training ground and forced to train with the Under-21 side.

His future at the Hammers is now under threat, and there are no indications as to whether he will be welcomed back into the first-team set-up at all under Bilic.
