In recent times Chelsea have received some stick for their relationship with Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem. They have sent plenty of talented youngsters to the Eredivisie and right now the club have the likes of Izzy Brown, Nathan, Lewis Baker, Dominic Solanke and Danilo Pantic at the Gelredome in Holland.
Now another Premier League team is hoping to do the same. Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a similar partnership with Roda JC, which could see talented Spurs youngsters heading to the club on loan deals over the coming years.
Roda’s technical director Ton Caanen has been speaking about the agreement with Voetbal International, stating:
"Everything of course in consultation with our scouts and technical people.
"Tottenham often lends players to clubs from the lower English divisions, but they also want to have a structured line to the continent."
It could certainly be a good move from Spurs to start utilising Roda in the same way Chelsea have with Vitesse.
The club is full of young talent with the likes of Nabil Bentaleb, Harry Kane and Ryan Mason recently making it at White Hart Lane.
However, not all can get regular football and a move to play in Holland would help them attain that status and play a different style of football than that in England.
