Report: Tottenham back in for exciting winger Andriy Yarmolenko; why he is a must buy

Reports suggest Tottenham have revived their interest in Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko.

According to ESPN FC, Tottenham Hotspur are ready to step up their efforts to sign Dynamo Kiev's Andriy Yarmolenko.

The 25-year-old has been a long-term target for the White Hart Lane outfit after catching the eye for club and country over the last few years.

Having recently indicated that he has no plans to extend his contract in Kiev, his club could be prepared to cash in on his services before the end of the current window, or else risk losing him for free in 12 months time.

Spurs have so far bolstered their defence this summer with three new signings - Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer - and head coach Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to add to his attacking options.

Considering that right wing is a problem position for Tottenham at present, the Ukrainian would be an ideal signing for Spurs, and the Argentine tactician would be among the first to acknowledge the player's suitability to his club's current needs.

The winger collected the Ukrainian Premier League's player of the season accolade last term, having scored an impressive 14 goals in just 26 league appearances for Kiev. Now, just four games into the 2015/16 campaign, he already has two strikes to his name.

He also featured in 10 matches in the Europa League last term, assisting an outstanding six goals, while fashioning 18 chances for his teammates. Meanwhile, he netted four goals himself, finishing the competition as both Kiev's top scorer and most creative player.

Powerful, skilful and an accomplished finisher, Yarmolenko would be a very exciting addition at White Hart Lane.
