The new West Bromwich Albion front-man is ready to show what he can do.
The Venezuela international signed for the Baggies for £12million earlier this week and he is clearly excited to get going.
Having scored 20 goals in 44 matches for Zenit last season, the 25-year-old will be hoping to again reach that magic number in his debut campaign for West Brom; and if he manages it there is no doubt the considerable outlay would have paid off.
“To return to play in this part of Europe was one of the principle aims for my career,” Rondon told the Birmingham Mail, having previously played in Spain for Malaga and Las Palmas.
“I want to help with everything I can offer. I always give my maximum in matches. I am a striker and my job is to score goals.”
If Rondon settles quickly at West Brom they could have a superstar on their hands, such is the player’s ability; and if Saido Berahino remains at the Baggies they could form a devastating partnership.
But whatever the future holds for the England under-21 international, West Brom have quickly looked ahead and ensured they have at least one brilliant goal-scorer in their ranks for seasons to come.
