The Leeds United boss has revealed at least one player who will start later this week.
Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler has been speaking ahead of his side’s League Cup clash with Doncaster Rovers on Thursday evening.
In comments published on Twitter by Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay, the Leeds boss confirmed that summer signing Stuart Dallas would start the match five days after making his debut for the Whites.
“He needs match minutes,” Rosler said of Leeds’ new left winger, and Dallas will be hoping to go one better than last time when he struck the woodwork against Burnley.
Dallas is exactly the type of player Leeds needed and he showed in his 70 minutes on the pitch on Saturday that he will become a firm fan favourite at Elland Road in no time.
It was Dallas’s replacement that day – Mirco Antenucci – who proved the goal-scoring hero, but Rosler has spoken about the need to change things up a bit and use all the players at his disposal as he navigates a congested start with a relatively small squad.
In additional quotes published by Leeds’ official Twitter account, Rosler said, “We have a tight squad and to keep the momentum and energy, I will make changes along the way.”
That is smart management and if all the players buy into his ethos there is no reason why Leeds cannot enjoy a great campaign no matter who he puts his faith in on any given day.
