Report: Tottenham agree £10 million transfer of Clinton N’Jie, player set for talks

Tottenham are one step closer to signing Clinton N’Jie from Lyon.

N’Jie is one of the striking options Spurs have been looking to sign this summer, and a report in L’Equipe suggests that a deal is set to be completed in the coming days.

It is stated that Spurs have come to an agreement with Lyon concerning the transfer of the Cameroonian international, with a fee of roughly £10 million accepted by the Ligue 1 outfit.

This transfer could rise to over £12 million, with add ons included, and it appears as if both Spurs and Lyon have settled on an acceptable price for a talented youngster, but one with little experience.

The report continues to state that N’JIe will travel to London on Wednesday, ready to start personal discussions with the Lilywhites, with a medical planned later this week.

There are not expected to be any issues with a deal being completed, and the transfer of N’Jie to White Hart Lane should be finalised before this weekend.

This means he is expected to be available this weekend when Spurs take on Stoke City in the Premier League.

Considering the lack of attacking cover Mauricio Pochettino currently possesses in his squad, it would come as no surprise to see N’Jie named on the bench for the fixture if the deal is completed in time for the 21-year-old to make his bow in English football this weekend.
