The Ghanaian is reportedly being tracked by a number of clubs across Europe.

Leicester City are set to launch a second bid for FC Copenhagen powerhouse Daniel Amartey, according to Allsports.com.

The Foxes are said to have had their first offer rejected, but will return with improved terms this week for a player who came close to joining Liverpool as a teenager.

The 20-year old has been lauded as one of the brightest prospects in Ghanaian football and his step up to a bigger stage is seemingly inevitable, with Roma and Juventus previously linked - as reported by Goal.com.

What would he add?

Comfortable playing in central defence or in a holding midfield role, Amartey plays with a composure and awareness that belies his age.

He has a fondness for bursting runs from deep areas and has the mobility to recover if ever caught out of position.

His passing range is proficient and he has a knack for grabbing a spectacular goal or two.

Leicester have been determined in their bid to replace Esteban Cambiasso, and the signing of N’Golo Kante was a fantastic start.

Amartey’s capture, however, would possibly be an even bigger coup given his age and potential, and his versatility could prove vital for Claudio Ranieri’s side.
