To be played on Saturday 15th August 2015 at 11:45. Venue: St. Mary's Stadium, Southampton
Odds: Southampton 10/11, Draw 12/5, Everton 3/1
Southampton welcome Everton to St Mary’s on Saturday as both sides look for their first win of the new season.
The Saints drew 2-2 with Newcastle United on Sunday while Everton and Watford played out the same result at Goodison Park a day earlier.
Both sides have impressed with their summer spending, although in Everton’s case they are still short of numbers and that could tell in the months ahead if manager Roberto Martinez does not sign a few more players while he can.
In early team news, Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster is out with a knee injury, as is defender Florin Gardos.
Left-back Ryan Bertrand only has a slim chance of playing as he recovers from his own knee injury but midfielders Jordy Clasie and Gaston Ramirez both have a 75 per cent chance of making it.
As for Everton, they are without Tony Hibbert (knee), Leighton Baines (ankle), Darron Gibson (foot), Aiden McGeady and Steven Pienaar (both hamstring).
Gerard Deulofeu has a good chance of being fit, as does Muhamed Besic, but Kevin Mirallas is rated at 50/50.
