The Spanish teenager has been reflecting on the club's summer tour.
The 18-year-old Spaniard was a surprise inclusion but he clearly enjoyed every minute and is looking ahead to a bright future at Anfield.
“It was something I will never forget,” Chirivella told Liverpoolfc.com. “I went with the first-team and made my first-team debut with all of the players.”
Liverpool have a number of talented young players on their books but Chirivella may have jumped ahead of some in the queue for a first-team chance later this season.
Liverpool’s inclusion in the Europa League means manager Brendan Rodgers will have to call on many players between now and the end of the campaign, and the early rounds of the League Cup could also see some young players feature just as they did last season.
Chirivella played against a Malaysia XI this summer before also featuring against Helsinki and Swindon Town and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the teenager.
With just 12 appearances for Liverpool’s under-21s to date he is likely to continue at that level this season but having got a taste of senior football he will know the potential rewards if he keeps working hard for the Reds.
