A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

According to a report from the Guardian Tottenham Hotspur have no intention of selling striker Harry Kane to Manchester United – or any other club for that matter – this summer.

That is no real surprise given Kane’s talent, current contract and importance to Spurs, but United were said to be considering an official bid for the 21-year-old as they look to add quality to their forward line.

Currently United only have Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and James Wilson and that is unlikely to be enough if they want to win silverware next season.

In other news, the Sunderland Echo claims Adnan Januzaj could be nearing a move to the Stadium of Light on loan.

Sunderland are said to be stepping up their interest in the Belgium international, and are said to be at the front of the queue if he does move on.

A seemingly imminent move for Pedro would push the young winger closer to a temporary exit, speaking of which…

The Barcelona player has been talking in comments published by the Telegraph and it could be good news for United fans hoping to see him arrive at Old Trafford this month.

Pedro scored in a dramatic Super Cup victory against Sevilla on Tuesday evening and after the match the alleged United target said, “I don’t know if it will be my last game for Barcelona; I only want to enjoy this title.”

He also explained than any move would not be about money but only the desire to play more regularly.
