This is a great way to make your new fans love you!
Who said footballers are more bothered about fast cars and supermodels than the faithful fans who get their names on their shirts every season? Well, Manchester United new boy Bastian Schweinsteiger has managed to show he's a bloody good guy with this great gesture to one rather disgruntled fan who was furious about the German's number change.
The World Cup-winning midfielder changed numbers from 23 to 31, leaving a fan who spent around £75 on getting his favourite player's name on the shiny new Adidas Man United shirt rather upset.
Cue heartwarming scenes from Schweinsteiger who offered to send the fan a new shirt and sign it – making the lad's day, month and probably year.
Schweinsteiger isn't the only Man United player to be kind enough to help out an out of pocket fan, with Luke Shaw also offering to replace a kit with his new number.
I guess the only way to stay safe with players swapping numbers and getting unexpectedly sold is to make sure that you get a last name with "dinho" at the end. A classic, absolute classic!
