The striker has opened his season with style at the weekend.
Aston Villa have brought through plenty of young talent in recent years, with Ciaran Clark, Nathan Baker and Jack Grealish all fine examples. The future looks bright for Aston Villa’s youngsters again at the moment, with Tim Sherwood at the helm.
The new boss likes to give young players a chance, as he showed with Tottenham Hotspur, which Nabil Bentaleb and Harry Kane could pay testament to.
There are plenty of young talented players in the Villa academy hoping to make it in the Midlands but one that caught the eye recently was Corey Taylor.
The 17-year-old striker is an England under-17 international and at the weekend he fired Aston Villa’s under-18s to glory in their opening fixture of the season.
He scored both goals for the outfit against their Southampton counterparts in a 2-1 triumph.
It was an impressive performance from one so young who will undoubtedly be on the radar of Tim Sherwood after his exploits.
So far he is not a regular in the under-21 side at Villa, but if he continues to score the goals for the under-18s, it won’t be long till Villa fans get to see more of the lad in action.
