After a dream Premier League debut, in which he came off the bench to score the winning goal versus Bournemouth, Rudy Gestede has admitted to AVTV HD it was an "amazing feeling" to celebrate with the travelling Villa faithful.
It was the Benin international's goal that secured a hard-fought three points for the Villans on Saturday, and following his effort he rushed over to the away fans, who made their presence known from first to the final whistle.
Speaking to AVTV HD, Gestede commended the efforts of the travelling support: "It was an amazing feeling to celebrate with the fans.
"They came in big numbers to support us. They made a lot of noise. It was very loud.
"I thank them because they helped me a lot when I came on the pitch - they created a big atmosphere.
"They deserved the win.
"I can't wait for Friday now. I am looking forward to it."
The Villans take on Manchester United on Friday evening and Tim Sherwood's side will be vying for a surprise victory ahead of the club's first home crowd of the 2015/16 season.
After his opening day substitute heroics, Gestede will naturally be hoping to start at Villa Park against the Red Devils and he will be confident in his ability to find the back of the net at this level.
Having scored 20 goals in the Championship last term, while boasting the title of being the most prolific header of the ball in the English Football League, he will pose a significant threat to Louis van Gaal's side.
