One of Arsenal's talented teenagers has been reflecting on his time at the club so far.
The 17-year-old arrived at the Emirates Stadium in January for a reported £2.4million (as reported by the BBC) and he has already impressed in the youth ranks, moving up from the under-19s to the under-21s by the end of last season.
Bielik had only made six first-team appearances for Legia Warsaw when Arsenal came in for him, but since then he has proved to be adept in both holding midfield and as a centre-back, suggesting a very bright future in North London.
Speaking to Arsenal.com, the teenager said, “When I started I had individual training sessions with Robert Pires. He gave me a lot of advice and helped me regain my fitness because I had been out for so long. I also trained with Jack Wilshere who was very nice to me.”
Now Bielik is used to training with all Arsenal’s stars on a regular basis and it is indicative of his composure both on the field and off it that he is not fazed by the challenges that lie ahead despite his age.
“I want so show everybody that I’m a good player,” Bielik added, and in time there is every chance he will do just that, not just in Arsenal training but ultimately on pitches up and down the country.
