An international striker with a keen eye for goal and a physical presence which will suit Tony Pulis’ system, the 25-year-old has arrived for a club record fee, believed to be £12 million.
Of course, Baggies fans will have doubts about the striker until he impresses in the Premier League - especially due to the struggles of Brown Ideye last season - but Rondon looks to have all the talents needed to succeed in the Premier League.
The Venezuelan striker arrives at the Midlands from Zenit St Petersburg, with whom he netted 28 goals in 57 games. He has a similar record during spells with other clubs, including 25 strikes in 56 appearances with Rubin Kazan
Rondon has been brought in to provide cover and competition for Rickie Lambert and Saido Berahino, and the Baggies have completed a real coup bringing him to the club.
When the deal was announced, West Brom fans took to Twitter to express their feelings about the deal.
And it is safe to say that the overall feeling is that the Baggies are signing a real star for the 2015/16 season.

Rondon and Lambert, in a Pulis side, will get goals. Gnabry a good signing too. Pulis is a great manager. Knows his strengths.— Reece (@ChalkonBoots) August 10, 2015
Rondon could be a great bit of business for WBA!— James Watson (@jameswatson5) August 10, 2015
rondon is such a good buy for the albion. I assume berahino will leave for 15-25mil in the near future and he ain't even as good— Dean (@Liberdean) August 11, 2015
