Report: Lyon close to conceding defeat over keeping Tottenham linked Clinton N'Jie

Olympique Lyonnais

Tottenham may be close to winning the battle to sign Clinton N'Jie.

Lyon are close to conceding defeat over the future of Clinton N'Jie, report The Times.

The paper report that Tottenham Hotspur have had three bids rejected for the Cameroon international. SkySports reported early this week the North London side are determined to sign the 21-year-old.

Spurs were first linked with a deal to sign N'Jie by The Sun two months ago.

The Times report Lyon are aiming for a minimum offer of £10 million for the striker.

N'Jie scored eight goals and provided nine assists in all competitions last season, and has been compared in his homeland to national legend Samuel Eto'o.

Spurs are yet to sign an attacking player this summer, buying defenders Kevin Wimmer, Toby Alderweireld and Kieran Tripper.

N'Jie's ability to play out wide would give Spurs the option to play him in the same side as Harry Kane.
