Villa are still in the race to sign Boilesen from Ajax this summer, and a report in TMW has outlined how much the Dutch club have placed him on the market for.
A report in the Birmingham Mail last month claimed that Villa were looking at the defender, and had seen a £1.3 million bid rejected. Ajax are looking to sell the left-back this summer, but he is still highly rated, and they were looking for a larger fee than the one offered.
However, with no suitors willing to match their original asking price, the latest report claims the fee wanted for the 23-year-old has been lowered, although it is still slightly higher than Villa were offering.
The Eredivisie giants want at least £2.5 million for Boilesen, meaning Villa will need to increase their approach should they intend to bring the defender to the Premier League before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
Do Villa still need Boilesen?
When the club’s original interest in Boilesen was reported, Tim Sherwood was still on the look out for a new left-back. But since then, Jordan Amavi ha been signed, and looks to be a player suited for the Premier League.
Still, for £2.5 million, Boilesen would be a top class signing at a low price, and the Birmingham-based club would be wise to formalise their interest in the versatile player before he joins another team.
