Manchester-based signer and founder of Brickstands Chris Smith has set himself a challenge for building stadiums out of Lego.

Celtic Park, Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge are among the stadiums that have been immortalised in Lego form by one rather creative designer.

A Crystal Palace fan himself, Chris Smith has set himself a challenge of build each of the 92 grounds in the Football League.

With a new stadium constructed every three weeks, the 32-year-old has developed something of a cult following online with pictures of his finished work available on Twitter and for purchase on the Brickstand website.

Having started off with Selhurst Park, the home of his beloved Eagles, Smith’s other completed works include Anfield, Hampden Park and Leeds United’s home of Elland Road.

Speaking to the Daily Mail about his plastic brick creations, the budding Lego designer offered any would-be stadium builders some sound advice:

"The idea is to find the sweet spot between simplicity and accuracy. You've also got to create something that people can handle comfortably and its obviously not going to break."

Those seeking a showcase of his work can take a look at the following…

From Celtic’s Parkhead home…

To the hallowed halls of Manchester United and Old Trafford…

Elland Road is another notable delight for Whites fans…

While the list would not be complete without reigning Premier League champions Chelsea…

Who knows? At this rate we could see the Lego stadium craze move to Europe – next stop: The Nou Camp!

Now that would be something to behold…
