Arsenal youngster Joshua Da Silva has been photographed signing his first professional contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The 16-year-old striker – who is equally adept playing as an attacking midfielder – was snapped signing his new deal in an image later published on Arsenal’s official Twitter account.
Da Silva has played once for Arsenal in the UEFA Youth League, coming on for the last eight minutes against Turkish side Galatasaray.
He is currently a member of Arsenal’s under-18 squad having initially made the step up at the end of the 2013/2014 campaign and it will be interesting to see how he develops in the years ahead.
Da Silva was not the only player to sign a new deal this week, with defender Tolaji Bola also signing his first professional deal.
Bola can play at both centre-back and left-back and that versatility marks him out as one to watch in the Arsenal youth ranks.
The Gunners have a number of promising young players coming through right now and they have tied down two more as they continually strive to secure their long-term success in the game.
