Henri Lansbury faces an uncertain future at the club.

Henri Lansbury was all smiles on the bench as Nottingham Forest began their Capital One Cup campaign.

The former Arsenal trainee was pictured on the sidelines at the City Ground as Forest hosted their first home game of the season against League One side Walsall.

His future is the subject of speculation with SkySports reporting Nottingham Forest had accepted a £4 million offer from Burnley.

This was denied last night by Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi, as reported The BBC, who said he would discuss any offer first with manager Dougie Freedman.

Over the course of the day there have been no big developments either way, with his presence at the City Ground a positive sign for Forest.

There should be no conclusions jumped to over the fact he is on the bench, for Dougie Freedman was likely set to rotate his team anyway for the Capital One Cup clash.
