If the UEFA Super Cup turns out to be Pedro's final game for Barcelona, he could not have written a better script.
After a stunning 90 minutes of football, and some woeful defending, the scores were tied at 4-4 and went to extra-time.
With minutes remaining and the game heading to penalties, a loose ball broke in the box after Sevilla's goalkeeper spilled a free-kick, and Pedro lashed the ball into the roof of the net.
Barcelona won 5-4, potentially giving Pedro the perfect send off.
The Guardian reported comments from Barcelona's secretary ahead of the game which confirmed Pedro has asked to leave the club, amid interest from Manchester United. Barcelona are adamant though they will not sell for less than £22 million.
Louis van Gaal is said to be keen on the forward, who Thierry Henry told The Sun he viewed as the perfect player for Manchester United.
A potential spanner was thrown into the works with comments from Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov, who warned him against playing for United, citing concerns over Van Gaal and his treatment of Victor Valdes, reported The BBC.
All his goal did was whet the appetite of United fans, who would love to see them clinch a deal for the Spanish international.
Here is a look at how supporters reacted to his goal...

We better sign Pedro after seeing United fans celebrate his goal like he's put us one nil up at Villa.— _ (@VanGaald) August 11, 2015
I hope Ed is there to ambush Pedro at the full time whistle to get that contract signed. #MUFC— Simon Russell (@SimonRussell89) August 11, 2015
I think Pedro's goal just made it difficult for #MUFC to get him. I don't see Barcelona giving him up easily.— Tommy Reyes (@tommy___reyes) August 11, 2015
We better sign Pedro now after all this or i'm done with life #MUFC— Nicko Taylor (@NickoTaylor_) August 11, 2015
