Everton reportedly end their interest in Tomas Andrade

The young Argentine will not be signing for Everton according to the latest report.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Everton have ended their interest in River Plate teenager Tomas Andrade.

A report from the Liverpool Echo last week suggested that the Toffees were keen on signing the 19-year-old on loan this season with a view to making the move permanent in the future.

The midfielder had been training with Everton and their manager Roberto Martinez recently praised his “raw, natural talent”, but it seems that was not enough to earn the teenager a move to Goodison Park.

The Mail claims Everton’s staff have opted to instead focus on other targets, leaving Andrade to consider his options.

Everton have impressed with their summer transfer business to date, bringing in Tom Cleverley from Manchester United and Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona, and while they have a number of promising young players coming through the ranks it would be no surprise if Martinez signed one or two more players while he can.

If Andrade had signed he would have likely been used predominantly as a substitute this season but for now the search goes on.
