Arsenal loanee Yaya Sanogo nets hat-trick in Ajax friendly

The French forward was a key protagonist in the Dutch outfit’s 6-1 victory over Umm Salal in a pre-season friendly.

Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo is seemingly raring to go at Ajax, with the lofty striker netting a hat-trick for his loan club in a pre-season friendly, as per the Dutch outfit’s official website.

The Amsterdam Arena side put Umm Salal to the sword 6-1 in a behind closed doors game to get the players up to speed.

As per the official Ajax website, Sanogo hit the back of the net in the sixth, seventeenth and thirty-fifth minutes, with the Dutch outfit’s dominant display evident.

Ajax started their Eredivisie campaign at the weekend, with Sanogo selected as a substitute for their 3-0 victory over AZ Alkmaar and getting off the bench in the 63rd minute.

Arsene Wenger sent the former Auxerre hitman out on loan to give him the chance to play more first-team football than he was likely to receive at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal fans continue to earmark centre forward as an area of concern, with first choice Olivier Giroud not fully winning over the club’s supporters and Theo Walcott a makeshift alternative.

Sanogo has been relegated to a joke figure by some of the Emirates Stadium faithful due to his inability to score when given a chance for both Arsenal and Crystal Palace on loan.
