Lloris and Pritchard lined up for Tottenham Under-21’s earlier today.
A 4-1 victory showed Tottenham’s dominance over their Merseyside opponents, with two important first-team players lining up for the young side.
Hugo Lloris and Alex Prichard are continuing their recoveries from injury, and the latter especially impressed in the tie. The young winger netted twice, opening the scoring with a free-kick, before doubling the score midway through the first-half.
He was substituted at half-time, as he looks to continue his complete recovery with a slow return to action.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who did not play for Spurs at the weekend, was also included. He played the entire game, and it is expected that the Frenchman will return to first-team duties this weekend, when the North London side host Stoke City on Saturday.
It is unlikely that Pritchard will feature at the weekend, having only completed half the game today, following his injury playing for England Under-21’s over the summer.
However, the attacking midfielder is considered part of Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team, and will be hoping to make a senior impact in the coming weeks, when he is back to 100% fitness.
