A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United…
The England international is fresh off the back off his breakthrough season and while he has yet to score consistently year after year it is surely only a matter of time given his innate talent.
That has allegedly prompted United to make discrete enquiries regarding the player and if they are given any encouragement they will reportedly make a bid for the 21-year-old.
Currently United only have Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez as senior first-team strikers while youngster James Wilson is also an option, so a move for another striker before 1 September would come as no real surprise.
That said, it would take an almighty bid to prise Kane away from Tottenham at this time and even that may not be enough to tempt their chairman Daniel Levy to part with their crown jewel.
In other news, the Daily Star claims West Ham United are still in the hunt for Hernandez and are ready to make an improved £12million offer for the Mexican international.
United will surely not sell Hernandez unless they sign another striker themselves as that would leave them worryingly thin and almost solely reliant on Rooney to lead the line for an entire season.
