Leicester defender Liam Moore set for loan move

Leicester City

HITC Sport understands Leicester City's Liam Moore is set to go out on loan with a number of clubs chasing his signature.

Leicester City defender Liam Moore is expected to move away on loan this week with several Championship sides hoping to land the England Under-21 international, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Moore was not included in Leicester's matchday squad for their opening Premier League win over Sunderland at the weekend and he is ready to go out on loan this week in search of regular first-team action.

The England Under-21 international began last season in the Leicester starting XI, but he found himself down the pecking order at the King Power in the second half of the campaign following the arrival of Robert Huth from Stoke.

The summer arrival of Yohan Benalouane has further increased competition for places at Leicester and Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri is thought to be open to Moore going out on a temporary loan.

Moore is rated highly at Leicester and they feel he would be best served to go out on loan to get regular action under his belt.

Several Championship clubs have been alerted to Moore's availability on loan and are in talks with Leicester to land the 22-year-old.
