16-year-old Reece Oxford stole the show for West Ham as they produced a perfect performance against Arsenal to record a surprise 2-0 win at The Emirates.
The teenager was handed a start by new boss Slaven Bilic in the club's 2015/16 Premier League opener - and his flawless display against a particular opponent underlined how far he had come.
Oxford did not allow Gunners playmaker Mesut Ozil a chance, with the German international anonymous in his side's loss.
Oxford grew up supporting Arsenal, and back in 2013 he even pleaded with the club via his Twitter page to sign the attacker from Real Madrid.
We won't embed the tweet due to the unedited swearing, but it read - (link here): "For 'f**** sake Arsenal something always doesn't go right Hurry up and sign Ozil !!"
He posted that on September 2, 2013, with Ozil's transfer announced an hour before the transfer deadline passed the same day.
There was another we can publish from earlier in the day, to the same sentiment:
Arsenal Best Get Ozil Or di Maria !— Ox (@Reeceoxford_) September 2, 2013
On Sunday at The Emirates, underlined just how far Reece Oxford has come in a short space of time.
From pleading with his boyhood club to buy a superstar, he is now standing out for a Premier League opponent, and absolutely dominating the player he wanted the club to buy.
