The loan signing showed what he can do in Leeds United's draw against Burnley.
Leeds United have made a number of savvy signings this summer and loan addition Tom Adeyemi proved on Saturday that he is very much in that category.
The 23-year-old was not the experienced central midfielder many Leeds fans wanted and expected following the departure of Rudy Austin earlier this year, but on this evidence manager Uwe Rosler has made a smart move that could get even smarter if he can ultimately sign the Cardiff City player permanently.
For now he is only on loan but Adeyemi looked solid against Burnley and played his part in ensuring Leeds came away with a share of the spoils.
Adeyemi may be young but he has nearly 200 senior appearances under his belt and that showed on Saturday.
|Passing Accuracy||Outfield Blocks||Tackles Won||Duels Won||Aerials Won||Interceptions Won||Dispossessed||Ball Recoveries||Mins Played|
The Leeds midfielder will want to work on his passing accuracy but it was not bad at 79 per cent, while he was not dispossessed all afternoon, proving his worth in the heart of Rosler’s team.
Adeyemi also made one outfield block, won one tackle, three duels, two aerial battles and two interceptions and he recovered the ball on six occasions.
Overall it was a solid start from a player who has a big role to play at Elland Road this season.
