Leeds United opened the season with a 1-1 draw against Burnley.
Leeds United opened their Championship campaign with a 1-1 draw against recently relegated Burnley at Elland Road, though manager Uwe Rosler can certainly be proud of his players.
Substitute Mirco Antenucci had put Leeds in front with just seven minutes to play, but Burnley hit straight back as Sam Vokes powered a header home to give Sean Dyche's men a share of the spoils.
Rosler's men impressed throughout, and could have won the game given that new signing Stuart Dallas hit the crossbar in the first half with a deflected strike.
It's early days in Rosler's reign at Elland Road, but the signs were there on Saturday that they could cause some shocks this season, with some fluid, attractive and entertaining football against a team for were playing in the Premier League just last season.
Having come so close to winning the game, the draw is tinged with a sense of what could have been, but a draw was a fair result given how Burnley had their fair share of chances too.
Here is how the Leeds United players reacts on Twitter after drawing 1-1 with Burnley at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon...
Great team performance, unlucky not to get all the 3pts, but something to build on!— Lewis Cook (@lewiscook_) August 8, 2015
