Crystal Palace players, including newbies Alex McCarthy and Patrick Bamford, celebrate Norwich win on Twitter

The Eagles downed The Canaries at Carrow Road to get their Premier League campaign off to the best possible start.

Crystal Palace are being tipped for big things this season. After a great end to the last campaign and some sterling business this summer, The Eagles are hoping to soar up the Premier League table.

They got their campaign off to a perfect start yesterday, winning 3-1 at Carrow Road against newly promoted Norwich City.

Goals from Wilfried Zaha, Damien Delaney and new boy Yohan Cabaye proved enough for victory, in a game full of controversy.

Referee Simon Hooper might have got two decisions wrong in Palace’s favour. Cameron Jerome had a goal harshly ruled out for a dangerous high foot. Meanwhile, Conor Wickham’s shove in the penalty area late in the game went unpunished.

That however did not disguise the fact that Palace looked impressive on their first day back at the office and were worthy winners in Norfolk.

The circumstances of glory did not stop the Palace players from celebrating on Twitter.

That included Palace newbies Alex McCarthy and Patrick Bamford. The two summer signings both took to Twitter to make their feelings known.

Meanwhile Wilfried Zaha, Yannick Bolasie and James McArthur were also at it on the social networking site.

Here’s hoping for plenty more posts like this from the Palace players.
