The Leeds forward has been discussing the club's owner.
Leeds United striker Mirco Antenucci has hailed the impact Massimo Cellino's appearance at Elland Road yesterday had on the first team, according to the Yorkshire club's official website.
Indeed, Cellino was present as the Whites earned an encouraging 1-1 draw with Burnley and Antenucci says the Italian owner encouraged the Leeds players.
Whatever he said or did, it clearly worked, while Antenucci himself was in inspired form after coming on as a second-half substitute. The 30-year-old's strike for United was voted Sky Sports's goal of the day and deservedly so.
The Italian is quoted as saying by the Leeds site: "Last year we saw little of him because he had problems. But yesterday he was at the stadium before the game and he encouraged us."
The Cellino charm
There was a burst of post-match laughter on Saturday afternoon when Cellino joked that his immediate plans at Leeds United are simply to 'pay his debts!'
The Italian's appearance before the game no doubt helped to extend the recent message of stability conveyed by United's summer business.
Will the Cellino charm continue, though, or is trouble around the corner? So far, it looks like this season will be a world away from last term's chaos. But let's wait and see.
