A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League campaign gets off to an intriguing start in just a few hours, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side taking on Manchester United at Old Trafford.

But one player who will seemingly not be involved is Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon, who has not been given a squad number ahead of the new campaign.

That has led the Sun to unsurprisingly suggest the England international’s time at White Hart Lane is coming to an end.

Lennon spent the second half of last season on loan at Everton where he impressed, but despite still being on the books at Spurs it seems Pochettino has no intention of using least not while the prospect of selling him during this transfer window is still on the table.

In other news, Pochettino is still hoping to strengthen his squad further this summer having already brought in three new defenders in the form of Kieran Trippier, Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer.

In comments published by Sky Sports, the Tottenham boss said, “I think you know we need to bring some players. We work very hard for that.”

If Tottenham can sign an experienced central midfielder, a new striker and a winger his side could bet set for a very successful campaign.
