Rolando Aarons reacts on Twitter to Adam Armstrong's superb Coventry debut

The Newcastle United youngster was delighted for his team-mate out on loan in the Football League.

Adam Armstrong scored his first league goal on Saturday afternoon, with the 18-year-old netting for Coventry City to get his loan spell off to a superb start.

Indeed, the teenager scored in the first half, sparking hopes the Newcastle youngster could well go on to enjoy a prolific spell at Coventry this season.

Both the club's official Twitter account and that of Newcastle's congratulated him and wished him luck, with plenty of supporter excitement also surfacing from both sets of fans on social media.

And Newcastle team-mate Rolando Aarons, only two years his senior, also reacted on Twitter to the Coventry news and was delighted for the Magpies youngster.

He was delighted - but not surprised...

Elsewhere, the 20-year-old also took to social media with a cheeky post about another Newcastle striker on Firday afternoon. Indeed, Aarons mocked Papiss Cisse after beating him in finishing training in back-to-back sessions.

As for Armstrong, though, this is a superb start to his Coventry spell and Newcastle fans will no doubt hope the 18-year-old can stay injury free and get plenty of game time in the Football League. Not to mention goals.
