The 20-year-old headed to Bristol City on loan this week.
Aston Villa sent out talented striker Callum Robinson on loan this week. The young striker, who spent part of last season on loan at Preston North End, has gone out to newly promoted Bristol City for the upcoming campaign.
He joined the club yesterday for a season-long loan and the 20-year-old will be hoping to have an impact in the Championship.
For many it was a surprise, considering Tim Sherwood’s hopes to bring through young players at Villa Park.
However, Robinson will get more first-team football in the Championship when he can start to hopefully bag some goals.
Aston Villa take on newly promoted Bournemouth this afternoon in their opening game of the season and Robbo has been on Twitter to give his team-mates at Villa all the best.
He sent this Tweet ahead of the game earlier today:
Also good luck to all the villa boys in there first game today, hoping they get the win @AVFCOfficial— Callum Robinson (@CallumRobbo37) August 8, 2015
Robinson might have hoped to get first-team football at Villa this season – after the club sold Christian Benteke.
The 20-year-old England under-20 international will however continue to follow his parent club throughout a campaign in which they seem to be stepping into the unknown.
