Rangers youngster Liam Kelly has stated on social networking site Twitter that Sergio Romero is a better goalkeeper than David de Gea.
Kelly, himself a goalkeeper and currently on the books of Scottish Championship outfit Rangers, aired his opinion during Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Romero, who joined the Red Devils on a free transfer last month, started the encounter in place of De Gea, who was not even on the substitutes’ bench.
Kelly was following the game, and he was impressed with the Argentina international’s performance against Spurs in the 1-0 win.

Romero gave a good account of himself on his competitive debut for United, but suggesting that he is a better goalkeeper than De Gea is going over the top.
The Spain international is one of the best goalkeepers on the planet and is a world-class player, and has been United’s best for the past two seasons.
While Romero did well against Tottenham, he has to do a lot more for anyone to suggest that he can replace De Gea at United.
