On-loan Arsenal ace Chuba Akpom has taken to social networking site Twitter in order to share his delight at scoring on his Championship debut as Hull City downed Huddersfield Town 2-0.
The 19-year-old striker rose through the youth ranks with the Gunners and enjoyed a short spell in the Championship last season with Nottingham Forest.
Despite not making much of an impact at the City Ground, Hull boss Steve Bruce identified Akpom as an ideal loan signing in order to help his side make an immediate return to the Premier League.
He started the Tigers’ opening championship match against Huddersfield and introduced himself to the KC Stadium with a bang, netting his side’s second goal in a comfortable 2-0 victory.
It was his first ever league goal and one which he’ll cherish throughout his career as he took to Twitter in order to share the moment with the club’s fans and his own followers.
The Tigers are one of the frontrunners for promotion from the Championship this season, presenting a good opportunity for Akpom to develop a winning mentality and face the extra pressure.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will be hoping his young striker can get himself among the goals this season and return to the Emirates with an added maturity and experience about his game.
