Leeds drew 1-1 with Burnley at Elland Road this afternoon.
Leeds United started the season with a 1-1 draw, as recently relegated Burnley snatched a point in the dying stages at Elland Road.
New Leeds boss Uwe Rosler was looking to get off to an ideal start, and his side impressed throughout, eventually taking the lead when substitute Mirco Antenucci opened the scoring with just seven minutes to play.
The Italian cut inside from the right hand side and bent a superb strike with his left foot past Tom Heaton and into the corner, sending Elland Road into delirium.
However, their joy was shortlived as Sam Vokes rose to head home Tendayi Darikwa's cross, planting his header past Marco Silvestri.
Sean Dyche's men snatched a point from the jaws of defeat, having been under the cosh for large spells of the game this afternoon.
Leeds racked up 15 shots on goal but could only find the net once, though Alex Mowatt and Stuart Dallas both struck the woodwork for Rosler's men.
The performance will give Leeds fans hope that Rosler can mount a push for the top half and possibly even the play-offs based on that display, whilst Burnley showed their resilience to bounce back and grab a late equaliser, which will please Dyche.
