West Ham United media round-up: Report updates future of midfield target

A selection of the latest news concerning West Ham United.

The future of Gokhan Inler looks to be closer to being decided, with links claiming he could be on his way to West Ham.

A report in Gianluca di Marzio indicates that he has been in England for the last few days to finalise a move to Leicester City. However, the Hammers are also tracking him and have made Napoli an approach.

There are no indications as to which club Inler would prefer to sign with, but Leicester are currently leading the race for the midfielder.

Slaven Bilic has confirmed that a deal looks to be done for Raul Jimenez, the Mexican striker of Atletico Madrid. He is set to join the club on loan, and Bilic confirmed in a press conference that he should be joining either today or tomorrow.

The head coach has also admitted that he could be in the market for another signing, telling the Standard that he will look at new players - if they are correct for the team.

He admitted: “In the meantime, we will keep looking for top players — not a lot of them but the right ones for us.”
