Both fanbases appear happy with the 20-year-old's loan move to the Baggies.
After West Brom confirmed the loan signing of Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry on Friday afternoon, the general consensus appeared to be that this is a simple move that makes plenty of sense for everyone involved.
At Arsenal, the 20-year-old has shown very promising glimpses and played his part in some memorable wins. However, Gnabry now needs to develop his consistency, physicality and resistance to injury.
Tony Pulis's West Brom side could provide the perfect testing ground to do just that. That's why Baggies fans are also delighted to have captured Gnabry on a loan move. And some are pleased they went for the Arsenal youngster over Crystal Palace's Bakary Sako.
Sako had been linked with West Brom earlier this summer but ended up moving to Palace and Pulis's decision - and ability - to bring Gnabry in after missing out on the Crystal Palace winger has appeased many. Here's how both sets of fans reacted to the deal on Twitter:
Sako or gnabry?? No brainer really... Well done TP....#wba— James Ewing (@jewing1977) August 7, 2015
Also, realise It's only a season long loan, but in terms of ability, I'd take Serge Gnabry over Bakary Sako all day long. #WBA— Baggies Facts (@BaggiesFacts) August 7, 2015
Finally looking like a good transfer window! McClean, Chester, Lambert, Gnabry, Rondon, Phillips and Marshall? Hope we can pull it off #wba— Jack Foster (@JackFoster96) August 7, 2015
No complaining on the club fb about Gnabry... That's a first... #wba— Dave Worley (@daveworley) August 7, 2015
