Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has been quoted as saying on the club’s official Twitter page that Mikael Lustig and Stefan Johansen will help the team against Malmo in the Champions League play-off round.
The Scottish Premiership giants have been drawn against the Swedish giants for a place in the group stage of the Champions League.
Brown is looking forward to the two-legged tie and is confident of wining against Malmo.
However, the Scotland international believes that it will not be easy, and that the players will need the fans behind them in the first leg.
SB: They beat Salzburg and we all know how good a team they are from last season, so we certainly can’t underestimate them. (MH)— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) August 7, 2015
SB: It will be definitely be a hard game but hopefully we can get a good result at Celtic Park if we are playing at home first.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) August 7, 2015
SB: We'll know what to expect, and Stefan & Mikael will be aware of what they are all about as well & the gaffer will watch them beforehand.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) August 7, 2015
SB: As always, the fans help us so much & it would be great if they got right behind us again by turning out in big numbers at Celtic Park.— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) August 7, 2015
The first leg of the tie will be key. If Celtic are at home, then they will have to win it by a big margin.
Malmo will be confident of winning on their own turf, which means that the Bhoys cannot afford to concede a goal at home.
Celtic will need to be at their very best in both legs and have to be defensively strong.
