Celtic are a target and will need a boost
Celtic being one of the biggest clubs in the UK means they are a target for every team they come up against.
Their profile means that opposition sides like nothing more than to get one over on the Bhoys, piling on the pressure during difficult periods for the club.
It’s during those difficult periods and in difficult conditions, where the supporters step forward and prove how valuable they are.
Celtic do have a very big support base, but the club’s players are human and vulnerable in difficult situations.
If they know that the fans are behind them, giving them that support even when things aren’t going well, it gives everyone a spring in their step and provides the inspiration to fight back or concentrate hard to ensure that the club achieves the right result.
