Robbie Savage makes bold prediction about Liverpool

Robbie Savage has predicted Liverpool to finish ahead of Manchester City in fourth place in the Premier League this season.

Robbie Savage has predicted in The Mirror that Liverpool will finish fourth in the Premier League this season.

The former Derby County and Leicester City midfielder believes that the Reds will finish ahead of Manchester City in the league standings.

Savage has also predicted Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea to finish first, second and third respectively in the Premier League this campaign.

“Christian Benteke, Firmino, James Milner and Nathaniel Clyne will go straight into the first team, and when Daniel Sturridge is fit again they could force their way back into the top four,” the former Wales international wrote in The Mirror. “But manager Brendan Rodgers desperately needs a good start.”

Could Robbie Savage’s prediction about LIverpool come true?

It is quite a bold prediction from Savage, especially as Liverpool do not have the same quality of players as the likes of City, United and Arsenal do.

While Brendan Rodgers’s side will be aiming for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season, they will need their main challengers to slip up.

It is hard to see Manuel Pellegrini’s City not making the top four: they have a number of world-class players. In fact, the Citizens will be challenging for the league title.
