Bournemouth are interested in signing Mason Holgate from Barnsley this summer, according to The Sun.
The British tabloid claims that the newly-promoted Premier League outfit are willing to pay as much as £1 million for the services of the 18-year-old defender.
It has also been reported by The Sun that Barnsley will let the teenager leave this summer, as he will not sign a new contract.
Other interested clubs
Bournemouth are not the only Premier League club interested in signing the highly-rated Holgate from Barnsley this summer.
Last month, The Sun reported that Newcastle United want to recruit the youngster and have made contact with Barnsley
Holgate is predominately a right-back and made as many as 22 appearances for Barnsley last season.
It would be a huge step-up from Barnsley to the likes of Newcastle, United and Villa, but the teenager does have the potential to make it big.
