Raheem Sterling identifies two areas he needs to improve

Raheem Sterling joined Manchester City from Premier League rivals Liverpool earlier this summer.

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has told The Sun that he wants to add more goals and assists to his game.

The England international will be playing for City this season after joining them from Premier League rivals Liverpool earlier this summer.

“I’m trying to add more goals and creativity to my game,” the 20-year-old told The Sun. “I’m trying to gets my assist numbers and goals up.”

Raheem Sterling stats

Sterling has been playing regular first-team football for around two seasons, and he has done quite well.

During the 2013-14 campaign, the 20-year-old scored nine goals and created 51 chances in 33 Premier League appearances.

Last season, the Englishman found the target seven times and created 75 chances in 35 Premier League games.

Sterling is a very creative young player, but he does need to score more goals and have a better accuracy with his shots.

Last season, the former Liverpool man had a shot accuracy of 53%, while in 2013-14 his shot accuracy of 67%.

However, one needs to remember that Sterling is only 20 years of age and is still developing his game. One should not be too critical of him.
