Luca Gasparotto has left Rangers and joined Scottish Championship rivals Greenock Morton on loan until January.

Rangers defender Luca Gasparotto has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at joining Greenock Morton on loan.

The youngster has left the Gers for the newly-promoted Scottish Championship outfit on loan until January.

Gasparotto is delighted to have moved to Jim Duffy’s side and is looking forward to featuring against Falkirk at Cappielow Park on Saturday.

Gasparotto will be looking to impress during his loan spell at Morton and break into the Rangers first team in the second half of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 20-year-old had a productive loan spell at Scottish League One outfit Airdrieonians during the 2014-15 campaign.

The Canadian is a talented young defender, and he will have to make the most of the chances he will get at Morton.

Rangers will kick off their 2015-16 Scottish Championship campaign with a game against St. Mirren at the Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow this evening.
